I  hope that you find this second grade website useful and informative. First of all, let me introduce myself to those of you who do not know me. I am Linda Beaudreau. This is my twenty-second year here at Lanesborough Elementary School; most of those years have been spent in second grade. I absolutely love working with seven and eight year olds, and I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s educational experience.I

The home-school communication is vital for your child’s academic success. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions or routines as well as current updates and important assignments.

HOMEWORK:

Both reading and math homework are handed out on Friday and due back at school the following Thursday. Spelling words for the following week are also handed out on Friday. Math facts, to be memorized, are given out as well. Word Packets are due on Monday. Checking your child’s folder is important everyday, but especially on Friday so that homework is seen. Many parents enjoy having the weekend in which to help their child get a head start on the home

TESTS:

Spelling test are given on Friday. Math fact quizzes are given on Thursday, and on Friday in event of a Monday holiday.

Welcome to 2B! We are proud that our classroom is a community that is actively engaged in all aspects of the learning process. We are believers in the 3R’s — Respect, Responsibility and Readiness. This can be seen in our Social Code of Ethics, which emphasizes individual and group responsibilities. Each child and parent in our class has been asked to sign this behavior contract.
